MERC 15-Year Celebration Fundraising Campaign

“15 Years, $1 Million, Countless Lives Changed”

As we gear up to celebrate 15 years of the Mining Emergency Response Competition (MERC), we’re calling on every team, sponsor, and supporter to help us make this year our biggest and boldest fundraising effort yet.

Over the years, MERC has proudly raised over $850,000 for charities that create lasting impact in our communities. In 2025, we’re going all in to push beyond the $1 million milestone — and we need your team to help get us there.

This year, all funds raised will support two outstanding grassroots charity organisations that started their journeys with MERC:

 

• Blue Tree Project is a grassroots charity using the powerful visual symbol of painted blue trees to spark conversations and break the stigma surrounding mental health. Since their conception, the Blue Tree Project has become a powerful platform to help promote a better understanding of mental health, providing educational courses and community events in many remote and rural areas.
• Happiness Co Foundation is a registered charity with a mission to positively impact 10 million lives in 10 years by funding mental health and wellbeing programs across the community

The Blue Tree Project and Happiness Co Foundation work together to address all aspects of the mental health journey, promoting both awareness and action needed to build healthier communities. They are dedicated to reaching remote and regional areas, providing essential training and support to those who need it most.
